Step 2
Your Dental Implant Procedure
The dental implant process is a multi-step journey that involves:
- Implant Placement: A titanium post is surgically placed into the jawbone, serving as a root for the new tooth.
- Healing Period: Integration of the implant with your jawbone occurs over a few months.
- Abutment Placement: A connector is placed on top of the dental implant to hold and support your new tooth.
- Crown Attachment: The final step is the placement of the crown, which is custom-made to match your natural teeth.
Throughout the process, our team will ensure you are comfortable and well-informed.

Step 3

With the completion of your dental implant, you’ll enjoy the benefits of a strong, stable, and aesthetically pleasing smile.

We understand that the decision to have dental implant is not always an easy one to make. We recommend you to book your initial consultation with Dr Nutan to discuss your options.
This appointment usually lasts between 30-60 minutes where all the options will be explored. The examination will include intra oral small x-rays, panoramic digital x-ray and in some cases full CT scan. Impression will be taken to fabricate study models, a surgical guide to determine the exact position for implant placement and wax-up preview to see the final result before the treatment starts.
This will be followed with a written treatment plan outlining the treatment options, timetable for completion and the costs involved.
2. Surgical Stage
A temporary crown can be placed at this time if the implant is ready for it. This is known as immediate loading but it’s subject to primary stability of the placed implant. There may be some swelling and discomfort, which will disappear within a few days. In Most cases the implant will integrate into your jawbone on average within 3 months.
3. Restoration
After 3 months, a small surgical procedure is performed to expose the implant and to make sure the bone has integrated around the implant.
A small metal cap (known as healing abutment) is attached to the implant to allow the gum to heal around it. 4 weeks later impression will be taken to fabricate the final crown.
We will also do a colour match and register your bite, for the best functional and aesthetic result.
3 weeks after impression the final crown is fitted to the implant and your natural smile is restored.

How Does The Implant Work?
Before we start your dental implant treatment, you need an appointment with Dr Nutan who will carry out a health assessment of your teeth and gums to detect whether any gum disease or dental cavity need to be treated prior to implant treatment.
We will assess your bone quality and quantity. We will take 2D panoramic digital x-ray and in some cases a 3D digital scan (Ct-scan) if necessary.
Most patients are suitable candidate for dental implants and the results can look aesthetically superb, providing complete confidence when smiling and eating all your favourite foods.
Placing Dental Implants. After initial examination and assessment, the implants are placed via a small surgical procedure. Most patients choose local anaesthetic although the procedure can also be carried out under sedation. After a natural healing process whereby the implant is fully fused into the bone, a post or abutment can be fixed onto the implant. It is on this post that a crown is then fitted.
Single And Multiple Tooth Replacement. Your natural smile can be restored and maintained using individual implants for a single missing tooth right up to implant-supported bridges for total tooth restoration in the upper and lower jaws.
